Whenever I want to open a file in Eclipse it shows me all of the hidden files. How do I change it so I can just see regular files?

    Eclipse filter setting

I am not using Eclipse very much for my projects, but are those filter settings a possible solution? http://cesaric.com/?p=591 for your problem?

Unfortunately no. I have the latest Eclipse(Juno) so mine doesn't look like the one in the link.

I always download Eclipse for JAVA from: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/
and, believe me, 4.6M3 is as good as an official release.
    Done so for 12 years.

Indeed, I'm sure that release is good enough for many people.
I prefer the link I posted above as I don't have that much experience with Eclipse and it gives you the full package rather than the single components to be put together :)
Or you could use the Eclipse installer to install Neon very easily!
