For the last week, or seemingly since iOS16.1 came out, my ecobee3 lite thermostat just will not connect to HomeKit. I’ve tried resetting the HomeKit 3 times and repairing end it comes right up to pair and connects easy but then if I try to change temp in HomeKit it just spins and eventually the device goes unto an irrecoverable “no response” . The thermostat works perfectly normal through Ecobee’s own app so I don’t understand what’s up

I have three of these working fine with 16.1.

Do you by any chance have a HomeKit Enabled Router? That gave me the same issues you described in the past. I had to se it to “No Restrictions”

Also, have you tried rebooting the thermostat? Remove it from the wall mount, wait a minute and put it back in. That usually clears any HomeKit woes I have with it.

I do have a HomeKit enabled eero 5 but I’ve had it for a long time with the ecobee working fine. I’ve also unplugged the thermostat 3 times and that does nothing. Resetting its home kit settings lets me Re-add the device no problem but then it still fails to actually be controllable and has broken a lot of my automations . I’ve never had a problem with this thing before the last couple weeks and it works fine in it’s own app

Did you try restoring your Home Hub to factory settings, then re-adding and /or rebooting your network?

i have like 6 home hubs so that would be tough. I did actually just fix it though by doing an eero update so i guess once again eero was the issue. I keep it up to date so this must have literally just came out

Ah eero. They break stuff just as much as Apple does.

Well, glad you got it working.
