Also explain how you believe these events can be controlled or altered ( if possible ) what does he mean ?

Choose Apple. They alter how you sleep, how you think, and what you do. They impact you because you are an Apple Obsessor, like the rest of us. Sometimes people call us "iSheep".

Crazy thought, but have you considered asking your professor?

I think you need to establish what microeconomic area/topic you're familiar with or which impacts you the most. Perhaps labour economics would be something you're interested in because it affects the majority of the population. Or maybe you want to keep it simple and just focus on supply/demand/equilibrium.

It's a fairly simple question and easy to answer. You just have to understand it. You as a person in society, look around and you can see many microeconomic topics/theory surrounding you every day. You just have to pick one and research to answer your question.

I'll leave that for you to figure out.

I don't mean to be rude, but you're taking an economics course, surrounded by economic issues that you encounter everyday and you're unsure where you can research these issues or topics. Are you sure you're in the right class or in the right field of study?

Your paying the professor to teach you. Send him an email.

Start it off with "Dear Professor Smith,"

And not with "dear professor people" or I asked MacRumors for help.

At penn state (I know you don't go there), academic integrity is huge. You ask the person next to you? You must cite them.

    Well, yes.

But have you any interest in the subject? Why do you think they made you want to study this subject?

What do you think this question was asked of you? Would you ask it of yourself?

And, by the way, a pet peeve of mine: I really dislike this horrible US tendency to make verbs from perfectly good nouns.

A student essay which discussed how the purchase of something might "have an impact" on their lives (an finances, and pocket, and choices) would leave me feeling more benevolent than the sort of stuff which included references to 'impact me'.

How do you feel about the price of a glass - or, a can - of beer? What effect would a price increase have on your life?

Look: The purpose of an essay such as this is to make you use your brain and apply the concepts you have (hopefully) learned in class to a context that is relevant to you.

Most degree programs require a certain core set of classes.

The other advise, in asking the professor is sound. If you do not quite understand the assignment, asking the professor is probably better then asking strangers on the internet.
