Did anyone watch Formula 1 qualifying at Monza today? I noticed a good closeup of Eddy Que in the Ferrari pits. I was wondering if anyone could tell if his watch was a series 2 or not. I would think a lot of those guys would already be using the Series 3 as we are so close to announcement.
I'm just going to hop into the AW ecosystem this coming revision so I couldn't tell.

If Series 3 is physically rumored to be the same as Series 2, there is no way to physically differentiate the two by Cue wearing one or the other. Even the first Generation Watch resembles the same as Series 1/2.

The series 2 has two openings instead of one in the casing for each the mic and the speaker. Little detail but still different.

True. Although my point was, someone couldn't differentiate the two Watches based off a viewing distance from watching a TV. It would almost impossible.

I saw him at Ferrari pits as well. Didn’t see what watch he was wearing though

LOL, can't see much from the screen capture.

All I can say is it is almost certainly a black sport band attached to a black stainless steel watch. Could Even be Series 0. Maybe he skipped Series 2 to save for the next iteration.

Ha ha, yeah didn't really think the S2 was worth it

Chill, LOL. I was just reacting to Relentless Power's post (which I quoted btw) and pointing out a difference between series 0 and 2. Dunno why you relate it to not being able to see it on TV.

As a former series 0 owner, the series 2 was totally worth it for me. It's fast, it has a brighter display, mic and speaker are both better when calling someone from somewhere outside and it's waterproof.

Totally agree - just a joke - you know the guy is a multi millionaire so he should be able to afford it even if he did need to pay for it

He doesn't look like a swimmer or a runner, so no need to have GPS and a waterproof Watch. I think you're right, he saved money for the LTE Watch

Well, he might not look like a swimmer or a runner, but competition eating can also lead to liquid damage. :D

I'm still stoked that Eddie Cue was IN the Ferrari pits ! I know that Apple has a Car Play partnership with ferrari but what business does an appleWmployee have doing at their F1 pit row?????!??

Something to do with telemetry or is Eddie Cue-ing ATV4 data playback via Siri to pit manager? Maybe CarOS in the making somehow??

Apple really should do s Christmas version of finding Waldo but with Eddie Cue's sports appearances over ATV. Would be interesting.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to try Siri on my new ATV4 to see if she'll actually show results.
