EDGE icon missing after upgrade to 1.1.4

hi,

i upgraded to 1.1.4 and my edge icon is missing instead of E icon i got the square itself where E used to be? how do i fix it ?
im on in uk with t-mob

The E missing doesn't mean it isn't working, it means you aren't on EDGE, it is in the manual, the box indicates a GPRS signal.

i never have gotten just a box. its either the e or nothing

i guess EDGE is an enhanced GPRS so even if it is the case then the box should show G in the box while is showing nothing just the box itself.

any other ideas ?

I also don't seem to be getting the E symbol, even in places where I used to?

Anyone else finding this?

this is what worries me maybe the edge just does not work cos i am not getting e signal in places were i used to. how can i check if edge works ?
