EDGE is best if I want the new phone every year, right?

It seems the downside is you never get to own a phone but if I only care about staying current I may as well do it this way.

This will be especially true if I want to do it for multiple lines in my family, correct? We will take a 10gig plan.

If you're insistent on buying from Verizon, I'm not sure. It depends how much your phone is worth on the open market after one year.

Verizon is far and away the best service in my neighborhood and town.

I'll have 2 current generation phones (6's), 2 past generation phones (5s's) and one dumb phone for grandma.
