I Just activated my iphone yesterday and i'm getting about 25-55 kbps. Its really pissing me off. Is this normal (please say no)

That seems a little slow. But of course it depends on where you live. Where do you live, maybe someone near you can tell us what their speeds have been...

I just ran test at http://performance.toast.net, downloading Shuttle + text, using toast.net host and got a low of 134 kbps and a high of 163 kbps. I also used Yahoo and Go Daddy host with lower results.

Houston Texas market.

PS: With my desktop on cable modem I got >7000 kbps to all three of the above hosts.

On a bad day I get ISDN speed. Usually in the mid 100s though. You might want to test out the phone's in the Apple Store where you are and see if they match what you get on your phone. That is the best way to tell if you have a bum modem or service is just bad where you are.
