Decided to give this a try as only £5.97 on Amazon UK:

http://mediadevil.com/index.php/browse-by-device/apple/iphone-6/magicscreen-crystal-clear-curved-edition-apple-iphone-6.html

Assume it will be available at some point in US too if not already.

Recieved this today and it's a good quality edge to edge screen protector that is easy to apply and the black borders match the Space Grey iPhone perfectly. On a naked iPhone it looks fantastic! Unfortunately the big downside seems to be that it can't be used with a case that grips the edges like the Apple cases or the Powersupport AJ case I have. When you put them on it lifts the protector off the phone at the edges. To be fair MediaDevil do state it won't work with the Apple cases but I was hoping the thinner Powersupport case would work but alas no luck.

Such a shame they couldn't have cut this just a tiny bit smaller so it would work with more cases like it appears the Spigen equivalent is going to do. So close but no cigar!

What was it like to install? Any issues or pretty straight forward?

It came with installation stickers so it was pretty quick, but there were small bubbles on the edges that I spent awhile to squeegee out.

Right now I'm using it with the Ringke Fusion, so far no peeling but if I squeeze the case there is some bubbling on the left side.

I got my curved crystal today. Cut a long story short, they both ended up in the bin.

I managed to get rid of the bubbles but was left with dents and an orange peely texture. To be honest it doesn't seem to offer much more coverage then the normal crystal. I would say don't waste your money.

Yea good thing I only paid $10 from what ive seen the original price on their website it like $25.

I paid $35 for mine as I had to pay for international shipping.

I have emailed Spigen informing them of my dissatisfaction about the product and why I feel that way. Now I will wait and see what they have to say.

Was it wet or dry install? That sounds like their wet install protector.

Weird, I've only ever heard of wet installed protectors like the Zagg having the "orange peel" effect before. Any idea what caused it?

Yes, I believe it could have been when I was trying to lift the protector up to remove dust. With normal films you can just quickly lift an edge and grab the particle with the provided stickers. With this one though, it seems to stick down pretty well and it seems to be made from a different material. I believe I may have slightly warped it out of shape by doing this.

Also I would recommend that no one uses the squeegee to remove any bubbles even wrapped in a microfibre, as this will be sure to leave dents and marks.

Other people may have better luck with it, but for me I am just going to live with the regular crystal protector for the time being. Luckily I had a spare one to fit. I think if you are looking for a true edge to edge protector you may be disappointed, this is most definitely "case optimised". Obviously good if your using a case.

I have contacted Spigen informing them of my disappointment. I'm based in the UK and paid $35 for this so not sure if they will be prepared to refund me. I certainly wouldn't want them to send me a replacement though.

Thanks. I'm in the UK too: I'm currently using the ordinary crystal which seems OK (scratches quite easily though, but they're pretty cheap). Curved crystal is currently £13.99 for the pack of 2 on amazon if you do want to try another: might give it a go at that price.

I've found the ordinary crystal pretty good. I haven't really had too many scratches, just a couple of hairline ones. My main problem with it was the fact that it didn't cover to the edges, but if the curved crystal is the only solution to this I will happily stick with the original crystal.

Thanks for the heads up but I won't be wasting anymore money on that product unless they make some revisions.

I'd say if you are happy with what you've got then I wouldn't recommend the curved crystal.

Explanations help, otherwise your post doesn't really get taken for anything useful.

Ive installed hundreds of screen protectors, glass, regular, wet apply. and this was the most painful one to install, if you dont get it right the first time and are just even a milimeter off then forget about it, once you try peeling it back off it gets ruined. coverage isn't much greater then the regular shield, and its got a funny texture.

I agree with what you say about placement. The same stands if you have a speck of dust under it that you can usually remove with normal protectors, that's the mistake I made. Once you lift the protector you warp it slightly and it just ruins the whole install. It seems as though they are using some sort of (stronger) adhesive on the back of the protector as it sticks down a lot stronger then a normal crystal protector.

I also agree with the point you made about coverage, it's barely any bigger then the regular protector and any negatives far outweigh the slight increase in size.

Also forget about squeegeeing any of those bubbles out if you want a dent free install.

exactly, i went ahead and ordered an anker full coverage glass for like $10. had a mime color but i cracked it, this isnt bad for the price and should work fine untill my iMos comes in. pretty sure ive dropped over $200 in testing out various screen protectors lol

Thanks for the info, pretty insightful. Glad I held off on purchasing until your reviews. I'm beginning to think a non-orange peel edge to edge protector simply does not exist.

Just got mine in today, they are garbage. I can get past the orange peel effect but what I can't get past is the edges where it curves does not stick down and leaves bubbles all around the edge. Waste of money and time, contacting Spigen and getting my money back or something.

Spigen offered me a refund if I followed these procedures - "When processing a return, we usually ask our customers to send us back the product to our facilities. However, we are willing to make a special exception for you to avoid return shipping costs. Let’s proceed with a “Photo Return.”

Please do the following…

Break the product! Destroy it beyond use to the best of your abilities
Take a picture of it
Send that photo to us!
Once we verify it as completely unusable, we will claim it to be “returned.”"

This isn't something I can do as the whole lot ended up in the trash, and I'm not about to go rooting through it for the sake of a few quid. The main thing is that they are willing to refund so you shouldn't have a problem getting that sorted. It was just my mistake for being so quick to bin them.

Yeah i threw mine away as well, if anyone has pictures of theres in the garbage, hook a brother up

so I bought the Spigen curved crystal even after the negative reviews. imo the protector is quite good. it covers everything but the steep part of the curve, crystal clear and no ripples or anything of that sort. really good at repelling finger prints too. it is very difficult to apply though, you basically have to get it right the first try or youre screwed. they do give you two protectors but the install method needs to be much easier.

the only negative I have outside of the difficult install is that on the bottom and top of the protector if you look really close you can see tiny etchings. im guessing its due to manufacturing the slight curve into the protector.

overall its worth it but only if you got the skills to do it right. if you've had troubles in the past with installing protectors this one isn't for you.

Biggest problem is that the protector is so thin its going to get marked and gouged up pretty easily. Try with your fingernail.
