As some of you may or may not know, quantum computing is the next big evolution in computer technology. This article, among others (a lot from the same website) is a nice reminder that we are in fact on the verge of a revolutionary breakthrough in computer technology, which will lead to vast improvements in science, and life.

Remember the opening scene in the movie 2001 ? As of last month this is where we are at this moment in time. A2
I understand 1s and 0s, but really have no clue how a quantum computer works...I like the top article the best and instead of 1s and 0s there are unlimited states, but still have no idea. Transistors exist, what would a quantum computer use? And, will this be the beginning of advanced AI?
