I just went to open an image in the Finder with the "Open With" option. I noticed that there are several versions of most of the applications that can open an image. Most are the older versions of the applications. Does anyone know how to edit this list so only the current version of each application is shown?

I have attached the menu listing so you can see what I mean by duplicates.

Do you have all those apps in your Applications folder(s), or does old and removed/upgraded apps remain on the list after being deleted/upgraded?

If some of those are "ghosts", I'd try opening the Terminal.app (in Applications/Library and run:
Code:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

They are all the result of upgrades and or removed apps. The terminal option worked perfectly. Thanks.:)
