I was wondering if it's possible to edit the external PC keyboard I'm using with my MBP and external display in order to make the 'alt key next to the space bar to behave like the command key on my MBP keyboard? I had a look at Ukulele but couldn't figure out how to do it that way.

Any help is appreciated!

key layouts

It should certainly be possible.

You need to work out the key codes for the keys that you want to change and then produce a custom .keylayout file with them all swapped around.

There is a short article about it here:

I have used the site that they talk about to produce a custom layout once before.

All seemed to work pretty well, but took a while to get my head around doing it.

Cheers,

Mark
