I'm trying to edit the text in textboxes that I put in a Word 2008 document. It was straightforward to click, add, edit, etc. for several days while constructing this document.

Now that I've added page numbers, I can select the text boxes and click inside, but when I do, the curser goes to the top of the box and won't let me do anything except add text or delete right there at the top. I cannot access the text in the rest of the box to edit or delete.

This is on a MacBook with Leopard

Any help?

Escape Word and go to Pages

I found the best way to solve the txt box problem was to open the document in Pages, adjust some formatting, and edit the text boxes as usual. Next step is to quit using Word altogether.
