Edit the text in illustrator

Hi,

I'm very new in using illustrator and i have to edit a designed .ai file.
I want to edit the text inside a text box, but when i click on the text, it behaves as if i'm selecting an object. I mean i'm able to move the letters one by one.. 😕

I've attached also the screenshot.

Anyone knows what is the problem..🙁

The text was converted to outlines. It's not text anymore.

How can i convert them to text again?

You can't. All you can do is retype it using the same font.
