im putting the F1 Monaco GP together...
quick question...would an editor prefer to see the video start from lap 1 and end on lap 78 say.

or would he rather have the laps mashed up to make a better story ?

The story is the race from lap 1 to 78.

Think about it: When you watch a race or any ball game on TV, wouldn't you want to watch it in the right sequence?

You can add flashbacks from a pitstop, a crash, some slow mo to cover up boring moments during a race, but, in general, you should tell the story in the order it was seen by a viewer on a racetrack.
