Editing avatars temporarily disabled

I have temporarily changed the forums so that avatars are loaded from servers other than the main forum server. This means that if you update your avatar the change will not be reflected on your posts. The new avatar will be stored, it just won't be displayed until after the keynote.

If you urgently (and I mean urgently 😛) need your avatar changed you can PM me. Any other problems let me know!

No, this change negates the need for the usual avatar disabling. With avatars off the forum servers there's no load penalty in having them enabled.

Darn. I forgot to change from my Christmas avatar, too. So I guess it's not my fault my avatar isn't seasonally appropriate? 😛
 
I wonderd why my new avatar wasnt showing up in my posts 🙄 😀

oh well mr.u will have to wait a day or so 🙂

It's a sacrifice, but for a good cause. Because, face it... they could just disable Mad Jew Bot, but then... the traffic to MR would drop precipitously. 🙁
 
Sigh. This is what I get for being away from MR for a bit. Ah well, Emily will be back in no time at all.

Thanks for making sure MR runs smoothly, Knox (and whomever else does work behind-the-scenes). =]
