I'd like to edit some of the menus on my G4 iBook. Specifically, I'd like to shorten some of the menu names, add several new menus, and add more selections within several menus. Is there a simple applcation that allows you to make these changes?

Are you wanting to modify the menus for a specific application(s), or for the Finder itself? I have no idea if it can be done, but I would've thought that modifying software in any way would void the EULA? Not that an EULA should get in the way of your experimentation, but someone's bound to bring it up .

However, I did read something a while ago about changing Safari's 'Private Browsing' to 'Porn Mode', so perhaps menu functions can be renamed.

Just out of curiosity, how would you shorten the names of the menus in the Finder? I think they're about as short as you can get them without resorting to some kind of heinous abbreviation .
