Hi,

I recently switched from windows to mac (iMac with Lion). I need to do simple editing on .pdf, .jpeg, etc. where for example I need to move parts of a report around, change numbers, delete certain images, etc.

I used to do this quite easily with basic program like windows paint. How can I do this on mac? It cant be done on iphoto. Do I need to buy software for this?

Thx

I'd recommend an app called pixelmator, its a low cost powerful app. If you have the cash then photoshop is the 800 lbs gorilla that will do everything you want.

On the free side, is gimp, but its interface is arcane as its a unix app that is ported to run on X11 which is included with OSX (or will be downloaded if not installed).

I'm not a fan of X11 but pixelmator is an excellent app
