EDU Discount & iPod offer

Will you still get the iPod nano 4GB with the purchase of a EDU discount macbook pro? I don't see why it wouldn't be edu discounted, but I wanted to be sure.

as in, assuming the macbook pro is $2000, is it
($2000 - $200) = MBP & Ipod [edu discounted mbp]
or
2000 = MBP & Ipod

Nope. You get your regular discount. However, the "free" iPod is really in the form of a $200 rebate...Or, you can pay more, and get a more expensive iPod.

does that mean you can just take the rebate and not get an ipod? so you can just get the mac at $200 off?

No, you have to buy a mac and an ipod on the same receipt in order to get the 200 bones off. You can always ebay the ipod.
