I bought a used 15" MBP from eBay and the 1 year original warranty will expire on October 2, 2010. My wife qualifies for an education discount (teacher - we bought our iMac with an education discount); can we buy the discounted Applecare for the used MBP?

I would also take a look on ebay. Apple Care can be purchased for quite a bit cheaper. Just look for ones being sold by Top Rated Sellers. Here is one:

    Just another option.
    Good luck! :)

If she qualifies for educational discount, see if her campus is a certified apple seller and see if you can buy it that way. =)
