I am a retired teacher. I loaded in my cart and could checkout a MacBookPro 16" with $200 discount for pick up at local Apple Store. Will they ask for proof of employment or anything like that? Thanks
Where does it ask STUDENT DISCOUNT at checkout? I don' see it. I do see promo code, but nothing to do with being a student? Thanks.

I have been asked for proof that I am a professor every time I purchase an item that is education discounte In an Apple store. I have never been asked for proof on an online order directly from Apple.

Yeah, I’ve been self teaching myself Final Cut Pro X, After Effects and Cinema 4D for 6 years now. Who’s to say I’m not a student?

I’m a 38 yo professional taking a tennis class at a community college. ID and all. Can I get the discount? Lmao. Or will the moral police on this thread say I’m within the policy?

BTW, I work from home lot with my computers at home and use my MacBook Pro daily for work so I personally wouldn’t do it, especially since I would write it off. But there are tons of young people learning things on their own on the forum. And I think they should absolutely save a little if they can.
