When the 24" iMac's were released, I immediately looked at the education price and it was $1800. Now it is $1899. Did anybody else notice this?

---Sorry if this has been posted before, I didn't see it anywhere---
It was $1899 when I checked the day it came out. Only $100 off.

EDU price is always 10% off retail price.
Well that's just plain false. Entry-level iBooks/MacBooks have routinely been closer to 5% off...

It's all about profit margin. Apple doesn't mind giving edu discounts and eating the difference when it means they might get the younger crowd interested and buying more from them in the future. With that 24" LCD I'm guessing the profit margin is a bit lower. Thus, less of a discount.
