Educational discounts for Apple Care+ and Apple accessories

Hi, is it really true that there is no Educational discounts for Apple Care+ for MacBook Pro and Apple accessories? The Sales in Apple Store was not sure and she had to ask somebody else.

For Apple Care+, is it the same price regardless of whether you order it at the same time as the MacBook Pro (which they give educational discounts) or within 60 days?

There is a discount for AC+ when you first buy it. After that, standard price if you try to add it online. You may be able to call AC+ sales to get the discount after the fact.
