Eeiry Sounds on my MacBook

Hi, just wondering if anyone else has noticed their MacBook give out an occasional 'haunted house' kind of sound. I don't think I'm going crazy, just wondering if something may have installed itself without me knowing it?

It doesn't seem to occur at any particular time, or event. I'm very confused.

I'd be very grateful if anyone could enlighten me!

Okay, that's gonna give me nightmares.
But anyway, there may be a problem with your speakers, if the problem persists too long, I'd definitaly get it checked out.
Or maybe it's haunted.

Thanks ghall. Its an actual recording, like a wolf's howl or something?! Definitely not a random sound.

The sound is similar to the start of the "Loon Call" file that comes with Garageband, but I never run that, so I don't know what's going on!

Sorry, just discovered what was causing the sound... a widget. Apologies for wasting anyone's time
