Eeiry Sounds on my MacBook

Hi, just wondering if anyone else has noticed their MacBook give out an occasional 'haunted house' kind of sound. I don't think I'm going crazy, just wondering if something may have installed itself without me knowing it?

It doesn't seem to occur at any particular time, or event. I'm very confused. 😕

I'd be very grateful if anyone could enlighten me!

Okay, that's gonna give me nightmares. 😱
But anyway, there may be a problem with your speakers, if the problem persists too long, I'd definitaly get it checked out.
Or maybe it's haunted.

Thanks ghall. Its an actual recording, like a wolf's howl or something?! Definitely not a random sound.

The sound is similar to the start of the "Loon Call" file that comes with Garageband, but I never run that, so I don't know what's going on!

Sorry, just discovered what was causing the sound... a widget. Apologies for wasting anyone's time 😱
