Im done effin around with flashing this XFX 4890.. I am going to sell it and move on to the GTX 285.

How are these playing with Snow Leopard now anyone? Now I just need to find interest in this XFX 4890...

.
I won't know until September 1st but I'll be surprised if it is anything less than fantastic.
I am very happy with it right now under 10.5. SL's got to be better.

I thought you had to solder on a new ROM chip to be able to flash it - something only The Rominator has been able to accomplish.

please guys inform us if the snow leopard works fine with the evga gtx 285 mac eddition.

I have SL and the 285 Mac Edition...it works fine for me...but I haven't done anything fancy with it. If you need me to check something let me know...but you'll probably have to give me brief instructions on what to do.

SL works fine with Mac GTX 285 and OpenCL behaving too. I am trying it with several other cards. Right now a Mac 285+Mac Quadro 4800 playing nicely and OpenCL reports three devices: two GPUs and a CPU pair. (I had a PC 285 working under an earlier seed with injector, and expect that to be OK. )

What is not clear is whether the power management bug is fixed - the 285 still seems reluctant to go into its fastest mode, but I have not go to the bottom of it yet.
