Hi all,
This is probably a stupid question but some searching has just left me more confused. I've just upgraded to an ipad pro and will be passing on my old ipad 4 to my little sister. With the loss off support for 32 bit apps however is she likely to find she can no longer download apps from the app store in a few months, or will those that have always been dual compatible remain so and remain avaliable. Wondering whether to try and download anything she might want in advance (I'm not seeing her for a few months as she's studying abroad) or whether she can sort it when she's back.

Thanks for any help!

I am not sure the exact situation but since iPad 4 cannot receive iOS 11 update, iTunes Store should still allow those devices download 32 bit apps.

My thought is that they will always be available for download. I havent downloaded anything new on my original iPad on iOS 5 in a long time. But from what I remember, the iPad will be able to search all apps in the app store, and if you try to download it, the iPad will download the last compatible version if there is one. So I can go to my iPad and download pages, but it wont be the latest version, it will be the one that was used in iOS 5. I havent had my coffee yet, so I hope this made sense... In summary, if the app had a version that worked in iOS10, and the developer is still active within the app store, I dont think she should have any problems getting those apps.
