Hello,
I just purchased the 512GB iPhone 16 Pro Max. My plan is to use it for video recording and I'd like to be able to record in 4K ProRes for ease of editing.
I'm thinking about returning it and getting the 1TB model as I underestimated how much space I'd require in a single shoot before offloading to my MacBook Pro.
However,r I'm also toying with the idea of buying an external SSD. I plan on upgrading my phone fairly regularly, and it would be nice to not have to buy models with lots of storage, as they don't really retain their trade-in value.
I've been reading on Reddit though that recording to the SSD results in reduced battery life... but I haven't been able to figure out by how much? I'm hoping I can get 2-3 hours on a full charge. Will this be possible with an SSD?
