Effects through my computer?

Hi!

I was wondering if it's possible to play my electric guitar through my computer (GarageBand) to my Amp and use GarageBand's Amp Effects?

Or maybe there's a different program I can use?

I'm trying to avoid buying a Line 6 POD 😱
