EFI firmware 1.3 and SMC update problem

Drag functionality now gone after update. Not a trackpad problem; USB and bluetooth mice have same problem. If I boot to backup external drive (backed up before firmware applied), everything works fine.

Click works OK, I just can't move anything.

Any suggestions, short of archive and reinstall OS?

Mine was doing something similar after the update.. If I tried to drag multiple files into a Folder, it would not open the Folder nor could i just drop the files onto the folder. But it still worked with single files.... A simple restart was the solution for me, but I don't know what to tell you...
