    Hi all,

Can anyone suggest/guess when new rMBP orders might come with El Capitan pre-installed and ready to go? I know updating is a simple matter, but I can happily wait for it to come ready with the new OS.

    Many thanks.

Inventory may have to be sold first before follow-on's had the new OS. With me, I got the previous OS, but a Mix of some new systems had the new OS and some without. Luck of the draw. Perhaps a week of more

Thanks for the reply. So if I leave it say, 3 weeks before ordering online I should get one with El Capitan? It won't be a basic model I'll be adding the 1TB drive and 16gb of ram.

Question - why does it matter whether a new computer has El Cap on it from the factory? If you get one with Yosemite, you can do the upgrade when you're setting up the computer. There won't be any downside to upgrading to a new OS on a new computer.

Just got my fresh new MBP w/ Yosemite this week. It became a fresh new MBP w/ El Capitan in about 20 minutes. Better than waiting 3 weeks!
