    Hi All

I have just installed El Capitan with the expectation that I could install windows onto the Bootcamp partition directly from a ISO file as can be seen on this image taken from

I have MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011). Could someone tell me how I can enable this feature?

It's only available on a select few machines. There was a front page article here on this site about it and mentioned what machines that new feature worked for.

"The only El Capitan-running Macs that support the new USB drive-less Windows installation are the 11- and 13-inch MacBook Air, the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro and the Mac Pro."

I would assume that it's only for models that don't include a super drive. (Your 2011 I believe still has the super drive built in.)

I see. Is there any way to trick the OS into allowing this on older machines. I have seen videos on how to get the Install via USB option by updating the info.plist file inside bootcamp contents folder.

Is there a way to edit the info.plist file to add the browse for ISO functioality?
