Having bought a new MacBook which had OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 already installed, I decided to upgrade to El Capitan. Two days later it finally downloaded, the RESUME button only took me back to downloading from the start. Having downloaded, it is not on my MacBook, only Yosemite. Where has it gone? How do I recover it. Tried upgrading but its from the beginning so another two days!!!

Check in Launchpad, there should be an icon/app in there to kick off the upgrade.

Thank you for reply. I went to Launchpad, it is now 1gb downloaded so will have to wait yet again for full download. Resume just doesn't seem to work.
I read one review which said it was very quick, I'm now on my third day, so not very quick for me!!

Normal download speed with my provider is 15 Mbps, I pay extra and have it doubled. A connection is sometimes called a "pipe" but it's really the same as any other cable internet connection, just different speed.
