El Capiton on Mac Pro 1.1

I see a few guys on ebay advertising hard drives for MP1.1 with El Capitan installed. Can you guys give us a concise overview of what this fix is exactly, and what extra hardware requirements there are e.g. the range of permitted video cards? Plus any downsides?
