  • Hi all, I installed Electra yesterday on my iPhone X running 11.3.1. I tried jailbreaking multiple times but it would just reboot. Finally I turned off find my iPhone, stopped Siri, put the device in airplane mode and erased all content and settings. Ran the Electra app after installing with Cydia Impactor a few times and it successfully worked. I kept getting a package error that it was unable to find packages or some misc message like that. I hit the reload key in the corner of the app a couple times and it I was able to install a jailbreak app. I tried installing a wifi hotspot app that I used to have on my 6S that doesn't have Verizon throttle the connection to the devices using the hotspot. All the sudden I started getting springboard crashed messages and they just keep popping up. Now there is 2 apps stuck on the screen that say activator and SBSettings. I tried removing them through Cydia but they do not show up as installed. So no way to removed them. I tried erase all content and settings and when the phone restored they are still there. I think my only option is to restore the firmware, but I never saved the shsh2 blobs for 11.3.1. When I hit the restore button in iTunes it asks me to update which I do not want to do. Is there anything I can do to restore the phone without having to update to iOS 11.4 or a way to start fresh as a backup restore does not remove cydia and the Jb apps?

Can you put the phone in safe mode and remove the apps that way?

It's been a while since I jailbroke but you used to be able to do that

Im not sure. It like the jailbreak failed to install the apps properly and they don’t show in cydia as installed yet they appear annoyingly on my home screen. I have a feeling that being failed install is also causing my issues with nothing else being able to install correctly and spring board crashing constantly. Once I get into safe mode how do I erase the Jb apps? Again, I’m not sure if I can because 11.3.1 requires running the Electra tool every time the phone reboots because you lose the jailbreak during reboots. This is becoming way to much of a pain these days. Im about to just throw in the towel and update.

Ino years ago there was an app semi restore that wiped all JB apps out and started a fresh without loosing the actual jailbreak
