hey, i'm about to order my new macbook pro. I was wondering if ordering the 7200rpm or the SSD decreases the battery life.how about the heat?

all i will say is do any RAM and harddrive upgrades your self, apple carges 3 times what they are worth
 
7200rpm HDD might slightly decrease battery life, although it will likely not even be noticeable. An SSD should have no impact on - and in some cases will actually improve - battery life.

I would say for all the time being saved on loading time, it would save it more. 😀
