FedEx just delivered the black Element Case CFX for iPhone 7 Plus that I preordered a couple weeks ago. The case itself is quite slim which is a good thing. It has metal buttons for volume & power...I kind of think a darker color than chrome would have been better. The TPU portion is gray and not black which disappoints me, as well as the finish on the sides (you can see in pics). I was really hoping it would offer better side grip as well, as the Spigen too is really slippery.

Thanks for the pics man, was gonna pull the trigger on the white/red one but decided to hold off. Really dont like the new button designs, wish they would have stuck with the sector pro first gen volume button bar. Im waiting till they show the regular version of the black ops case thats supposed to be shown soon. Im more of an aluminum type of guy.

I've had a couple different aluminum Element cases on past iPhones but being the first "plus" version phone I've owned I didn't want to add any bulkiness or added weight. I will say that I've owned both previous versions of the iON case which the CFX replaces, and the design is much improved. This case also fits extremely snug, removing it isn't all that easy.

The one thing I mentioned above that is a real let down is the fact the sides are slippery, albeit not as slippery as the Spigen it replaced. I'd like to see some scoring on future revisions. The volume buttons are fine in terms of individual vs rocker imo.

I had the vapor (i believe thats what it was called) for the iphone 4s, and then for the 5/5s i had the sector pro in gunmetal then again in red and blue when the custom lab launched. I stuck with the sector pro for the 6 and 6s, didnt like the uneven design on the 6s sector pro 2, tried it for a few days but returned it. love the symmetry from the orignal. Also had the ronin but passed it to a family member. Your making me want to give the CFX a shot! im afraid the red will dirty real fast tho

For $40 it may be worth a shot. I ordered a Tech21 case for my wife's 7+ and it's going back. Ugly, feels cheap, and totally not worth $50!

damn, that's too bad. I've always loved ElementCase, but this one looks pretty cheesy in comparison to their other cases. Wish it was all black too, that gray looks meh.

I agree this case looks very cheesy. Looks like a knockoff of a knockoff!

After spending more time with it I agree. I just initiated RMA request. The finishing touches on the CFX are horrible, not what I've come to like about Element Case products. The two things I really like about this case though are: how well it fits, and the way the case is shaped at the bottom...it just feels good in your hand.

Seems like they've gone downhill since being acquired by some Chinese handbag company some time ago... too bad because they used to make some of the most amazing cases on the market... I remember the Titanium case with g10 backplate for the 5S, it was stunning.

I agree. Their customer service has never been top notch but has gotten significantly ******** as of late.
