Received this case saturday, it feels very nicely made (minus the fact in my head knowing it was made for probably dirt cheap in china) paying $80 i was hesitant on, but before it i tried out the Sector 5 Black Ops Elite and that case wasnt for me, the sharp designs on the sector 5 line were uncomfortable and the price tag made me worried on scratching the case so it was rediculous,

the solace on the otherhand is comfortable to hold, it holds slimmer than that of the sector 5 series and the buttons have excellent feedback (along with the mute button easily to reach), case feels well built and makes my phone feel solid. I wish it was cheaper thn $80 but I am happy with this case purchase

I liked how element cases are made in the usa, so when this one is "designed in california" but made in china it still is a big turn off for the price

Yeah, I'll just wait to buy mine from the source in China when they start selling these, no need to pay for Element's mark up.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice case figment to feel and comfort way more comfortable then the sharp lines if the sector 5, but it's made in China so it shouldn't be long before some replica is out

On top of that I didn't like running my 5snaked since everyone says the aluminum scratches easily

How was the reception and signal strength? Did you notice any degradation with having the Solace case on compared to without?

I personally have not. Have not done a speed test with it on / off which I possibly can, but haven't noticed one bit of degration.

Just a follow-up to mention that I've been using my Solace case (Italian Red) for several weeks now and I love it. I'll agree the price is a little more than I wanted to pay, but the case looks great and I've already gotten several compliments on it.

And I also have noticed no signal degradation whatsoever.

Where's the pics?? I know a lot of people have bought this but no pictures are surfacing! I want to see some different colors on different phones. Post them up if you have one.

FYI, the pictures they are showing is the actual genuine case and not what you'll be getting for sure.

yes i know. i am curious about how it will look...if any different, i will open dispute and send it back....

we'll see...once i get it, i will upload some photos...

I just recieved the red one, its easily one of my favorite cases! but for $80 it better be.
I asked element case if they would consider making a white back plate for this case because i personally think that would look amazing!

The lightning to 30 pin adapter appears to work with my new Solace case. It's a very snug fit, but it doesn't appear to distort the metal. The snug connection really helps to stabilize the phone if you are using it on something like a B&W Zeppelin, or other device with a 30 pin iPhone connection.

I've had numerous compliments on the styling of the case. There's only one word for it, svelte! The long edges are actually ever so slightly concave and really add to the styling. It also helps in getting a firm grip on the phone. The other thing I've noticed is that the case does not irritate any part of my ear when I'm using it.

Only downside I can see is if you change your SIM card frequently this is not a good choice (other Element cases have SIM card access), otherwise it's a great case. It definitely stands out from the run of the mill silicon garbage that makes the phone look clunky.

I use this adapter on my iHome and it's a perfect fit. It is snug like elliowb said, but I agree that it's a good thing because my phone doesn't wobble around when it's "docked" in the iHome.

Still very happy with this case!

Sorry for digging... Needed some answers.

Any Solace Chrome user encountering scratched bezel (due to dusts accumulation over time) when removing the case for cleaning your phone? :)
