Elgato EyeTV 250 or Miglia TVMax for games?

I'd like to watch TV on my Mac, and want hardware compression in my box. So... Either EyeTV 250 or Miglia TVMax. Question: I like TVMax's MP4 compression, but what about playing PS2 games through the TVMax? Does anyone know how much latency that box has. Elgato says that in the EyeTV, there is a zero latency game mode, but I can't find any info about that in the TVMax specs or info. Does anyone play PS2 games through the TVMax and how about the latency?
