    Hello
Does anyone have any information on how well the eMac 1Ghz G4 performs with running games? I may be able to get one for free and I'm interested in how well they perform.

my brother played warcraft 3 on my mom's 1 Ghz emac for years and was happy with the performance... that's about the only game we've tried on it though.

Be sure to max out the RAM to increase any performance.

They're actually quite quick machines, but unfortunately the Radeon 9200 in some of the later eMac range isn't great. It's actually based on the Radeon 8500 (as are the 9000 and 9100) and so are DirectX8 cards, not DirectX9 as with the rest of the Radeon 9xxxx range. Obviously you're not going to be using DirectX on your eMac, just pointing out that these cards use the tech from the older Radeon cards.

Sims 2 on an eMac is a pretty slow experience, but quite a few other games work fine.
