I broke the power switch when opening the case up for an IVAD cable replacement.

I think I've located a substitute. Does anyone have a schematic or know how the switch operates? There are three lead/terminals on the switch. I'm hoping one side is normally open and the other is normally closed (that's the substitute) but I can't test the busted switch.

Thanks

P.S. The nearest Apple store is 2500 nmi. I'm located at 167 deg long, 9 deg lat in the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the Central Pacific.

A multimeter is available. The connector was ripped off the ~1/2" dia. PCB that makes up the switch. I attempted to use a multimeter to observe how the original switch operates but it is non-op.

didja figure it out?

Did you ever figure this one out? I recovered an emac with the switch busted off of the connector; the original switch is unfindable.

Thanks
