The disc you have -- is it... 1) A retail install disc 2) A system restore CD or DVD 3) An "upgrade" disc that was provided because you bought a computer that shipped with Panther right after Tiger came out?

grafikat macrumors 6502a Dec 5, 2003 781 1 Jan 30, 2007 #3 if the disks came with your emac, they are specific to that machine. You won't be able to use them on your g5, if I recall. If you purchased an upgrade, you can only use one upgrade per machine.
