eMac won't log back onto net

OK, so apparently the stupid problem is the same thing happening to the Intel Macs???

My 1.25ghz eMac running 10.4.8 with all updates (just checked) wont connect to the wireless net when booted up. It won't go to sleep at night (from the logon screen), so it normally gets shut down.

I'm going INSANE.

Is this a "feature" of using WPA security? We live in a remote area - but changed to that 2 weeks ago when we pulled a computer off the net that can't use it.

Sigh.... time to go read about my wannabe-new-computer.....

Some of the older machines don't work terribly well with WPA. Do you have the latest updates all installed on both the eMac and the router? Maybe try WEP for a little while to see if the problem really is with WPA. 🙂
