Email addresses and bookmarks?

Sorry this is so basic, but I just got my first Mac, an iBook and have some 101 questions. For retrieving email, how can I set up my Pop 3 mail server and get my address book into "what?". I want to get my email from my website, but am totally clueless. I can use Plaxo, but that is not all that convenient. 😕

Next, I need to decide on Safari, Mozilla, IE or some type of web browser. Is there an easy way to transfer bookmarks from my Windows machine to the iBook? 😕

Please let me know how to make this happen. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you very much! That should get me throught the transition. I am anxious to get familiar with Safari, but I have used IE for over 10 years. There is a comort level there 🙂 I appreciate the resources.
