iPod touch Email Alert Sound

I have a 2nd G iPod Touch. Is there anyway I can change the email sound?
I get push email so on beejive when i am out of the application i receive an alert. but many times i am unable to hear it and miss out.

Use a mic to record it onto your computer and save it as a mp3.

idk where, but it has to be stored on a mac somewhere for Apple Mail.
