Email no longer auto updating

Hey guys,
Just starting having an issue with my email accounts. In the last couple of weeks they no longer auto update. If I mannually check them I will get my messages but otherwise nothing. I checked in settings and the phone is set to auto check every 15 minutes. I have two accounts going through my phone both are .mac accounts. Does anyone else have this problem or a possible solution?
