Since updating to 5.1.2, I have had this weird thing going on with email notifications. When I get an email notification, it comes up on the face of my watch, and I can't dismiss it by swiping. It stays up on the face until I press the crown, which takes me into the email app where I can swipe left and dismiss it. Is this normal? I hate it BTW.

I usually just click the digital crown button to dismiss the email and then pull down from the top of the display to swipe and remove it from the notifications.

Well that's what I do now, but I used to be able to simply swipe the notification away. There are a number of things now on the watch/phone that require multiple touches to accomplish something that used to require a single touch.

So my original question remains--is this now a feature or a bug. I am thinking it is a bug, because it doesn't always happen when I get an email notification.

I spent 155 minutes, yes 155 minutes, with Apple last night because I couldn’t get notifications. I had all the settings turned on for them, but still wouldn’t work. Finally they told me to change the fetch data settings to 15 minutes instead of automatically. Seriously it took that long for you to tell me that? LOL. I would think that’d be one of the first things you’d check after making sure notifications are turned on. I didn’t think anything about it being on automatic since that’s the default setting.

But back to the original question. I’ll try it today with the watch since it looks like I got notifications working.

Hey,

I have noticed this as well and yes it sucks! But I would say it’s a bug... it’s been like this since the series 4 was released along with the mail notifications not working properly (which was recently resolved) but not this one. On the previous OS it was working fine... really hoping they would fix it with the next update!
