Email notifications like SMS and missed calls

Is there a package or app I can install so that when I get new emails they pop up as notifications like missed calls or text messages?

like a popup notification?

i use lockinfo for my mails. it gives me a statusbar icon and i can preview the email within my lockscreen or infoshade.

Yeah, a pop up notification is what I'm talking about.

Infolock sounds nice but really its more than i need aside from it costing money.
