so since updating to ios 13 i am noticing that email notifications are no longer showing up on my locked screen, nor do they show up at the top when i'm using my phone. anyone else having this issue?

There are many reported bugs in the mail app in iOS 13. iOS 13.1 releases tomorrow with bug fixes, so that could potentially help.

Hoping 13.1 does solve this. It happens inconsistently for me. Sometimes I get notifications on the lock screen, sometimes not. I use the native Mail app. I've checked notifications up and down, and tried toggling on and off, with no change.

yup, same here. i also turned the "sticker" off, cause it annoys me, but that shouldn't in any way cause this crap)

I get the notifications but sometimes not the actual email until a few minutes later. Hope all fixed tomorrow

A funny thing - if I touch the display while it's locked, the notifications are there. It's as if they're being delivered silently. Actually...I should check to make sure that didn't get turned on somehow...

i would almost be ok with that, but i have to actually open the mail app to see what's there...

Outlook notifications show up with no problems. Edison Mail does not show up nor does the badge on the icon unless I physically go into the app than exit. Spark is showing the notification badge but doesn't show the notifications on the lock screen?

Funny thing is everything was working fine on my XS with 13.1 which is weird. I restored again last night in hopes but same thing? Hopefully 13.1 that comes out today fixes it

yes! i'm waiting for that update too! not the end of the world, but annoying nonetheless)

I noticed banner notifications got turned off for mail somehow. I turned them back on. Even so, it doesn’t show up consistently. It’s random and sometimes not at all or very delayed. Seems the update hasn’t helped either.

yup. i think we're on the same page...

Native mail app now seems to be delivering notifications as expected to me on the lock screen and as banners while using the phone unlocked.

It’s very erratic. It doesn’t show up sometimes unless I open the app. Then a flood of emails come in.

Pull down brings no update to the mail... just spinning circle at top. Emails are gone, zero messages. Have to remove account, then re-add then they disappear from app again!? Yahoo Mail all emails are on the server. Notifications also not coming through... since iOS 13, 13.1 didn’t fix anything.

Well cr@p...I've got the notification problem now. I don't seem to have the download problem. This is worse than 13 was for me - I may roll back.

13.1 seems to send a bunch of notifications in silently when I first use my phone in the morning. I'm not sure whether it's just Mail or all app notifications, as usually emails are only notifications that come in when I first turn my phone on, or take it out of airplane mode.

But this is better than some of the 13.0 betas where the notifications would come in silently and then disappear within a few seconds. You had to be actually looking at the screen light up at the time else you'd never know.

Apple are fully aware (as they must be able to read all the forums where Mail is generally reported to be a bag of crap in iOS 13/13.1, and also they have a load of Feedback requests about it) and yet haven't been able to fix it for some reason.

They need to spend more time reading and consolidating feedback requests than just tinkering with stuff imo. Well, says me who isn't a developer but is just full of opinions anyway ;)

The stock Mail app is performing a little bit better in 13.1, although the notifications still seem to come in late sometimes (banner notifications mainly).

Edison is still completely broken for notifications and I've had to shut it down until its fixed.

Another one chiming in with Edison problems. I had to switch to the gmail app in the meantime. Hopefully they fix the issue soon.

yup. my combined inbox shows no email at all, even though individual inboxes are fine...
