I have come to the conclusion that I need help staying on top of my inbox.

I have been a long-time user of Spark, which I generally really liked, and I took the plunge upgrading to Spark 3, which it turns out I like less. The only real feature of it that I truly love is the ability to combine emails from one sender.

Otherwise, I like the chronological list view of Apple Mail and the ability to view emails by Sender, which is handy for clean up. But Apple Mail says I've got over 5,000 emails in my inbox and 415 are unread.

I have a Smart Folder called "Today" which lets me see only emails that have arrived today.

But, what are people doing to stay on top of their inboxes? Spark offers snooze, which I sometimes use, but features like pins etc I forget about and keep marking emails as unread so I come back to them — but then I forget...

So I'm curious to hear general usage tips from people more organised than me

You can use some organising tools or any task management
Perhaps I wasn't clear. It's not a lack of tools, it's a lack of imagination or knowledge of good workflows that people have set up. Like which specific rules they use, for example.
