I don't find this supposed statement to be encouraging at all, at least in the very short term. In fact it just goes to show how out of touch the responder is with the Pro marketplace.

i decided to just wait till the end of July (my current system still works so no big problem) if its not by the end of July (and I'm guessing not because of the not so much encouraging email response) than i'm going with an imac. its cheaper than the mac pro and if a few months after the new macpro is released, being twice as fast, i wouldn't feel so bad because i paid so much for the current macpro.

oh yeah, why do some people here see steve jobs reply as being positive in terms of "this means the mac pro is just around the corner"? does he usually responds to emails before an update release and say the product is not going to be updated yet?

harlem, because you dared to question the Worshipful Master... who knows all we need and all that we really want... you can't possibly really want anything that the Worshipful Master says you don't need!

P.S. I'd hope this is completely obvious but I just realized it may well not be... I'm being quite sarcastic but also sadly far too true of some people.

:confused::confused:

when i go to email properties (is this the headers you mean stevie jobs?) i get this (i left my data out)

Received: from mail-out3.apple.com ([17.254.13.22])
Received: from relay14.apple.com (relay14.apple.com [17.128.113.52])
Received: from elliott.apple.com (elliott.apple.com [17.151.62.13])
by relay14.apple.com (Apple SCV relay) ... etc

We specifically asked for a screenshot. The information you posted has been widely publicized...and anyone can type

Until you post something tangable, don't bother.

I believe him. Thats something steve would say. But I hope he is just using that to get rid of old macs so he can bring the new ones out and I hope they are awesome by my definition not Steve's.

ugh............... i hope this is fake.

:(

I think it is. Considering its been up here since June 3rd and it hasn't been posted anywhere but on this forum makes me think it has to be. If it was real, it would have been up on the MR front page, or at least page 2.

This is fake. Look at the grammar for goodness sake, it's awful.

True. Why would Steve randomly capitalize "Need" and "Powerfully". Also, why would he say "Powerfully efficient workstation" in the first place?

I still stick with my guess of July 13th....

If this is true, i'm going to be very upset. :(

But since the OP can't even take a simple screen capture, i'm going to say it's BS.

Maybe its BS maybe it isn't, but one thing is for sure. Apple has not updated the MP line for some time and it doesn't look like they're in any hurry to do so.

Besides, what does the OP have to gain by lying about an update? Its not like he joined just to create this thread.

Apple's focus is on its iToys and less on computers, particularly the MacPro. Its not like they move a lot these babies, not when the low end MP is 2,500, how many units do you think they move. Not enough to justify expending resources to update it.

Monday was a US holiday. There was no chance for any release yesterday. Now next Monday the 12th, that's a different story...

Ahh....good call :) *Crosses Fingers* Lets hope NEXT Tuesday's the day!

(Hey I can hope!)

believe it or don't believe it, all up to you. like mentioned before, i don't see why i should invent getting an email from Steve jobs, since i'm not a mac user yet i didn't even knew all this mac pro update thing was such a big deal anyway.

i could post a screenshot but won't even bother...cause then its probably something else that's fake about it

besides that, to the geniuses demanding a screenshot, if i went trough the trouble of inventing all this what makes you think i won't fake an email-screenshot...seriously its like 5 min. work, and you won't ever notice the difference.

So like i said believe it or not, i could care less
